What Is Selank?

Selank is a synthetic analog of tuftsin, an immune-related tetrapeptide, developed by the same Russian institute as Semax as its anxiolytic counterpart. It is approved in Russia for anxiety and adjustment disorders.

Russian trials compared it favorably to benzodiazepines for generalized anxiety — with the crucial differences of no sedation, no cognitive dulling, and no documented dependence. It modulates GABA signaling and enkephalin breakdown rather than hammering receptors directly.

Side effects & safety

Remarkably few reported — fatigue in some users, nasal irritation from spray administration. Its gentle mechanism cuts both ways: some users report effects too subtle to notice.

Legal & approval status

Approved in Russia/CIS; Western research compound status identical to Semax.

Typical dosing at a glance

Commonly reported protocols use 200 mcg500 mcg, daily, via intranasal or subcutaneous. For the mixing math — how much bacteriostatic water, exact syringe units, doses per vial — see the Selank reconstitution calculator →
