What Is DSIP?

Also known as: Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide

DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide isolated in 1974 from the blood of sleeping rabbits — one of neuroscience's more curious discoveries. It appeared to transfer slow-wave 'delta' sleep pressure between animals, hence the name.

Fifty years later it remains half-mystery: no receptor has ever been conclusively identified, and human results are inconsistent. Community use targets deep-sleep quality and stress-axis modulation, with reports ranging from transformative to nothing.
