What Is Epithalon?

Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) modeled on epithalamin, a pineal-gland extract studied for decades by the Russian gerontology school of Vladimir Khavinson. It is the flagship molecule of Russian peptide-bioregulator research.
Its headline claim — telomerase activation, potentially slowing the telomere shortening associated with cellular aging — comes from cell studies and small, mostly Russian trials that also reported normalized melatonin rhythms and, in one long-running elderly cohort, reduced mortality. Western replication remains the missing piece.
