What Is Mazdutide?

Mazdutide (IBI362) is a GLP-1/glucagon dual agonist originally discovered by Eli Lilly and developed in China by Innovent Biologics. It became the first dual agonist of its kind approved anywhere when China's NMPA cleared it for weight management in 2025.

GLORY-1 reported ~15% weight loss at the 6 mg dose over 48 weeks, with notable reductions in liver fat and uric acid — effects attributed to the glucagon component. A 9 mg dose is being studied for larger effect.
