What Is KPV?
Also known as: Lysine-Proline-Valine
KPV is a tripeptide (lysine-proline-valine) — the anti-inflammatory tail fragment of alpha-MSH, the melanocortin hormone. By isolating this fragment, researchers kept the inflammation-calming signal while discarding the pigmentation effects of the parent hormone.
Most of its research lives in gut inflammation: rodent colitis models show reduced inflammatory signaling, and its small size lets it enter cells and act on inflammatory pathways directly. It has become the quiet second ingredient in gut-repair protocols alongside BPC-157.
